At YELI, we take your welfare very seriously and we’re here to give you all the help you need to succeed.
If you have a problem with your schedule, your teacher or you’re unhappy with the score you got in an exam, you can speak to your Head of Unit or fill out a complaint form.
Advice on English Courses
If you need advice on the English course you are studying, then you should first speak to your teacher. You can speak to them in class or you can make an appointment to see them during their office hours.
If you still think you need more help, then there is the Student Learning Support Program which will provide you with ongoing, one-to-one tutoring in any area where you think you need help. You can also visit the Writing Center if you need advice on your writing. The YELI Student Affairs Committee also runs general workshops throughout the year on different aspects of the English language.
If you have a more personal problem, you should speak to the Student Affairs Department who can put you in touch with a range of personal advisors and counselors.
